Method
- Start by washing and trimming the green beans, removing the stem ends, and patting them dry thoroughly.
- Place the green beans in a mixing bowl and drizzle with olive oil, then sprinkle with salt. Toss gently until all beans are evenly coated and shiny.
- Spread the beans in a single layer inside the air fryer basket, making sure they aren’t crowded to allow air circulation.
- Set your air fryer to 200°C (390°F) and cook for 8–10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even crisping and browning.
- Check the beans—they should be tender with slightly charred, crispy edges. If they need more crunch, cook for an additional 1–2 minutes.
- Transfer the crispy beans to a serving dish and sprinkle with lemon zest, or any other seasonings you like, for a burst of fresh flavor.
- Serve immediately for the best crunch, or store in an airtight container for up to 1 day and reheat briefly in the air fryer to revive their crispness.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider adding garlic powder, smoked paprika, or chili flakes before roasting. Always dry the beans well to ensure maximum crispness. Shake the basket halfway through cooking for even browning.
